A funny story that kids will like as they learn a good lesson about flattery

5.0 out of 5 stars By Israel Drazin TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE VOICE on November 24, 2016

This is a wonderful book with eye-catching drawings. Kids will love it and learn from it. It is a very good adaptation of an Aesop fable.

Filbert loved to hear his grandma read Aesop’s fables. After reading one fable to him, she explained to him why he should not believe flatterers. But although grandma tried hard to teach him, Filbert did not learn this lesson. In fact, Sylvia Yordanova tells two adventures where Filbert, who thinks he is as smart as the foxes in Aesop’s fables, shows he is not smart at all. Children will learn a lot from this book that will help them in life.
