Fire safety for kids is a bundle about a fire prevention, has a PERMAFREE Kindle edition, as well as Print and Audio versions. We added an extra 60 pages supplementary activity book. It is perfect for bringing up the subject of fire safety and fire prevention with your little ones.
It tells the story of Bart and his friends as they go on a hike and learn about fire safety in a way they did not expect. Bart is very careless when dealing with matches and he does not want to listen to his friends’ warning. They tell him how easily a fire can get started in a forest and the harm it can do to the animals and trees. But Bart does not care too much for what they are saying about fire safety.
So he goes off by himself and starts a fire to cook something to eat. He forgets to put out the fire and leaves it burning, only to wake up and find himself trapped in the midst of a forest fire. What happens to him and his friend caught in the fire makes interesting reading especially to see how Bart learns his lesson about fire safety the hard way. If you and your child love to read together, then you are going to love this!
Fire is a leading cause of death and injury in kids younger than ten years of age when they play with matches or other heat sources. To protect your kids from being burned or killed by fire or smoke inhalation, they need to understand that fire is dangerous and not a toy.
This book provides important fire safety for kids messages in a way that is not frightening to them. Please, use this colorful picture children’s book for bringing up the subject of fire safety with your little ones. The story is suitable as aread aloud book for preschoolers or a self-read book for beginner readers.
The typical fascination that children even after receiving basic fire safety education have and the attraction to lighters and matches inspired the writing of this book. Please, talk to your kids, show them the book characters and discuss all this with them. Use the form provided and encourage children to send us pictures. That will help them to learn this valuable lesson better.
The author recommends this book for ages 4 – 6 and P – K. It is a most important lesson for the little ones to learn at an early age. With the parents reading the book to them, it will not seem scary and I would recommend they make sure to ask the kids if they have any questions while reading it to them. It really is an interactive book for them at this age.
Basically it is the story of four friends that go on a hike. (See how cute they are to the upper left?). In addition to Bart the Bear there is Charlie the dog, Oberon the tortoise and Bella the rabbit.
In the first example of fire safety, Bart tosses a match with a ‘spark’ into the leaves. He was scolded for doing that as he didn’t realize what damage a spark could do in the woods. He did put the fire out after cooking hot dogs, however.
The next example proves to be more of a calamity in that Bart the Bear is separated from the other three. He gets hungry and decides to make another fire to toast a marshmallow. (Who does not like marshmallows on a campfire?). Unfortunately this time he is not as lucky as he falls asleep. When he awakens, he feels the heat of a fire and knows he is in trouble. Luckily this story ends well for all of them and valuable lessons are taught and learned by all.
Never ever play with fire or anything that would make one such as a match. This is a lesson that must be taught by parents at an early age and reinforced throughout the early years of the kids. I would recommend at least until age 10 that it needs repeating.
Well done to the author and the illustrator for bringing such an important topic into houses. And, dealing with it so that it is not a scary item.
Most highly recommended..

It is natural for children to have self-doubt, to think they are not important and even powerless. Sylvia Yordanova addresses these problems in this fun book. Kids will enjoy the story and drawings and will learn about themselves from it.
Nezo, a little elephant, thinks he is not strong and he made fun of a giraffe. His mom taught him never to make fun of anyone. She told him that he looked different than other animals because elephants have a long trunk, and we do not want to be laughed at. The giraffe can make good use of her long neck and we can have fun with our trunks. His mom also explained how the monkey’s tail helps her.
One day Nezo was attacked by a tiger and his mom saved him. But from then on, he began to be afraid of other animals, whom he liked before.
Then the tiger attacked him when his mom was not around, and Nezo learnt some lessons that children need to learn.

This is a wonderful book with eye-catching drawings. Kids will love it and learn from it. It is a very good adaptation of an Aesop fable.
Filbert loved to hear his grandma read Aesop’s fables. After reading one fable to him, she explained to him why he should not believe flatterers. But although grandma tried hard to teach him, Filbert did not learn this lesson. In fact, Sylvia Yordanova tells two adventures where Filbert, who thinks he is as smart as the foxes in Aesop’s fables, shows he is not smart at all. Children will learn a lot from this book that will help them in life.

Liam is a boy that loves animals and wants a cat. He soon finds a cat and is allowed to keep his new pet. Before long his new cat, Luna, meets the neighbor cat, Oliver. Luna becomes quite plump. Liam watches as Luna looks for good nesting spots. Soon Luna presents the family with a collection of furry kittens.
This book gently tells the story of how animals reproduce. There are no graphic details, just a vague explanation that works for young children.
The illustrations are fun and appropriate for each page.
Possibly the best thing about this book is that you can subscribe to the authors page and get free video or audio links. You can also print out all or any of the illustration pages in black and white so that you can color them.
I try to read to my grandchildren as much as possible. Being able to pick up a tablet and read a book to them helps them to realize that electronics and reading go together, not just electronics and games. Having well written and illustrated books like this one enable me to constantly surprise them with a new book.
This picture book is teaching kids about bullying. Gordony and Bondy are two brothers but they are so different. Bondy, the older brother is a bully who frightens others into giving him what he wants and he is trying to teach his baby brother to be like him. He wants Gordony to be fierce and cruel and to terrorize everyone in the jungle. But all his little brother wants is to be gentle, polite, well-mannered and to have many friends. This behavior from Gordony makes his brother angry and so he drives him away from home because Bondy feels that his well-mannered little brother is spoiling his reputation as a big bad bully.
This book will appeal to brothers and children in general who are trying to adjust to each other being different. The reader will learn about true friendship, the power of kindness and the virtue of good manners as well as the part that choice plays in who we become.
This book is perfect for bedtime reading where parents can talk about the ideas with their children and individual readers can benefit too as they think about what they take time to think about have read.

Bullies exist everywhere, and their origins are usually found when they are kids on the playground, in the park, or on the street, even in their own home with their brothers, sisters and sometimes even their parents. And since both my niece and nephew are quite sensitive and playful, they don’t deserve to have a bully ruin their fun and childhood. So, to help them come to terms with a bully and how to deal with them I got this book for my little nephew and niece because as one is in reception and the other is in nursery, sooner or later they will end up facing one or more classmates who are less than friendly.
The story is an easy read for them, and the images help to bring the meaning of the tale to life. It is an enlightening story that teaches them how to deal with a bully, how to overcome their fears and be brave to stand up for themselves, and no matter what, to always be proud of who they are and happy to be themselves and not let anyone belittle them for who they are or undermine their self confidence. It’s a great story for the little ones on how to be nice, kind, well mannered and put a stop to bullying.

Unfortunately, children face bullies. Sometimes the bully is taking advantage of the youngster or hurting him or her in a small way, but in a big or small way, every child faces this problem. This book will help put this problem into perspective for kids and make them feel better. Kids can read or have the book read to them, or listen to an audio. They will also enjoy coloring the 24 pictures that go with the book.
All the animals disliked Bongo the gorilla because he was so rude, but he was strong so they feared him. He had a little brother Gordony, and they hoped he would not turn out as bad as his big brother.
Bongo wanted his little brother to grow up and be as fearful as he is. He did not care to have friends. But Gordony wanted to have friends.
Bongo wanted his brother to call everyone bad names and scare them. He showed Gordony how to do it. When the young gorilla did not do what he wanted him to do, Bongo forced him to go away.
While he was gone, Gordony met other animals who liked him and played with him, and he learnt how to be friendly.
Children will enjoy finding out what Gordony learned and how his brother and all the animals reacted, and how to treat bullies

Cute book, fun to read! My grandson is almost 3 and he enjoyed having me read it to him. It’s a very short book, but it comes with some color and activity pages.
This book is second of the series of books for 7 year olds. It is about two boys and their conversation on the playground. The lesson for every boy reading this book is clear: Never give up! Think, ask yourself the right questions and you will win. Aiden manages to find a way to give Jacob what he wants and as a result he gets what he is looking for. This short story is about negotiations and bartering, teaching kids about those vital skills with an example and it will be remembered by your boy for a long time. As a parent, you are able to continue this lesson with a similar story of your life.
